What to wear? Winter tops-
Luckily winter is a good enough season for scoliosis brace wearers as they style of oversized everything is very helpful for us! Below are a few suggestions for my winter staples for scoliosis brace wearers and scoliosis sufferers to feel more confident and stylish whilst still dressing to cover up a bulky brace.
Sweaters, oversized sweaters are about the most comfortable thing anyone can wear these days and are perfect for scoliosis braces. The majority of sweaters will work great however be careful to ale sure not buy a cropped sweater as these are coming in a lot lately and aren't very suitable for braces. If you do happen to find a cropped sweater though, flowy tank tops look great underneath to cover up the brace.

Open sweaters, cardigans, are also great! See accessories section for more info.
Hoodies, although not the most fashionable item, are definitely great for winter and are very easy to throw on for a lazy day and cover ups brace perfectly.
Baggy long sleeved t-shirts, kind of hard to describe, see the picture below. These can be bought in many different colors and are great for a brace wearer and can be very stylish too.
What to wear? Winter bottoms?
Winter bottoms are relatively easy to find, but you should probably know theses tips and tricks to maximize comfort.
Jeans are a winter staple and for scoliosis brace wearers they work great too. A lot of brace wearers like to find pants to go over their brace however I do not do this as it means you have to buy all new jeans and they tend to be baggy on bottom as well as it overall not being that comfortable. I recommend wearing pants underneath your brace and as long as they are not too tight they never really bothered me. If possible buy mid-high waisted jeans as these are more comfy and low waisted jeans can sometimes come out from underneath the brace and this is really uncomfortable. I also recommend to find jeggings like the ones in the picture as although they are still jean material they have no zips or buttons which prevents the brace from pushing them into your skin. My last recommendation with jeans is to make sure they are not too tight/loose as if they are too tight the brace will make them cut into you and if they are too loose they will slide down and since your wearing the brace over them you can't really pull them up.
Leggings. Leggings were the best thing ever when wearing a brace as the waistband never cut into me and they were overall really comfortable and great to be styled underneath a brace.
Pencil skirts, surprisingly enough these work great in the winter as they slide over the brace, wear tights underneath brace though, and when wearing a loose long top or cardigan the brace is covered perfectly. Make sure it is a stretchy cotton like pencil skirt though.
Skater skirts are also a great form of skirt and most braces since in above the waits and the waistband sits perfectly there. The rest of the skirt flows out nicely and covers up the rest of the brace. Wear tights underneath though.
Overall I hope these clothing suggestions help you this winter with dressing with your scoliosis.
